Presenting a special New Year’s Day edition of Comic Book Coffee…

“Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot” sees Commissioner James Gordon and Batman meeting up at 2 AM on January 1st for their annual cup of coffee together to welcome the New Year.

Dan Riba, who drew the opening and closing segments of The Batman Adventures Holiday Special, was a character designer and director on Batman: The Animated Series. He also worked on Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond and Justice League. “Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot” had him collaborating with two of his fellow DCAU team members, Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

2020 was one hell of an insane year. Let’s hope 2021 is a better one for all of us. To quote Jim Gordon:

“Well, here’s to survival. Hopefully we’ll be doing this again next New Year’s Eve.”
