Comic Book Coffee, number 108: Star Trek: Enter the Wolves, penciled by Carlos Mota, inked by Keith Aiken, John Nyberg & Derek Fridolfs, written by A. C. Crispin & Howard Weinstein, lettered by Larry Berry and colored by Wildstorm FX, published by Wildstorm / DC Comics in April 2001.
Set in the time period between Star Trek VI and The Next Generation, “Enter the Wolves” involves the Federation’s first encounter with the Cardassians. Ostensibly seeking to join the Federation, the Cardassians have actually set out to undermine a treaty with the strategically-located Legarans. In this scene Perrin, the wife of Ambassador Sarek, has uncovered evidence that the Cardassians intentions are less than honest. With her husband in the midst of extremely delicate negotiations with the Legarans, Perrin drinks a cup of black coffee as she attempts to figure out what she herself can do to uncover the truth.
