Comic Book Coffee, number 110: Ms. Marvel #16, penciled by Jim Mooney, inked by Frank Springer, written by Chris Claremont, lettered by Rick Parker and colored by Janice Cohen, published by Marvel Comics in April 1978.

Carol Danvers heads over to Avengers Mansion to seek help locating Namorita, who has been kidnapped by the villainous Tiger Shark. Following a Mighty Marvel Misunderstanding that sees her tangling with the Beast and the Scarlet Witch, Carol is given access to the Avengers’ labs. After working there all night on a way to locate Namorita, a grateful Ms. Marvel accepts a cup of coffee from the Scarlet Witch.

Jim Mooney had a long association with DC Comics, working on various titles for that publisher between 1946 and 1968. Mooney drew the Supergirl backup feature in Action Comics from 1959 to 1968. Mooney began working for Marvel Comics in 1968, inking John Romita on Amazing Spider-Man. He subsequently worked on a wide variety of series for Marvel, both as a penciler and as an inker / embellisher. In his later years Mooney drew a number of stories for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and the inker on Soulsearchers and Company, both titles published by Claypool Comics. He passed away in March 2008 at the age of 88.
