In the far-off future year of 2021 AD, Betty Cooper his having breakfast & coffee with her parents when her mother warns her school is about to start. No problem! After all, it’s just a hop, skip & jump from the kitchen to Betty’s bedroom where she’s going to school over the computer!
It has been said that nothing ages so quickly as yesterday’s vision of the future, and that’s definitely the case here. While “High School 2021 AD” did accurately predict that public school would one day be taught remotely, if not quite figuring out WHY this would come about (I’m looking at you, COVID-19), it also envisioned that we would have flying cars & spiffy futuristic jumpsuits while nevertheless still utilizing bulky desktop computers & large video cameras. I bet the Coopers are using a land line and a dial-up connection, too!
At least this future has coffee. Coffee makes everything better. 
Stan Goldberg entered the comic book industry in 1949, working for Timely / Marvel Comics as a colorist. He was the main colorist at Marvel during the Silver Age, and also drew teen humor titles. Godlberg remained at Marvel until 1969, after which he spent three years drawing teen humor stories for DC Comics. He began working as an artist at Archie Comics in the early 1970s, and was a regular contributor to their various titles until 2010. Goldberg passed away in August 2014 at the age of 82.
