This week, I will look at “Galaxy of Madness # 1” from Mad Cave Studios. In the 41st Century, a swashbuckling space archaeologist, Vigil Virgo, is on the cusp of learning a universe-shattering secret, and for her to do that she will have to dive into the abyss, where no human was ever meant to go, to do it. But what will happen when she emerges from the other side?! I have to say that this is quite the fun read as it takes all of the elements one would find in a sci-fi story (Think “Star Trek” meets “Flash Gordon”) I have to give major kudos to Magdalene Visaggio for the tremendous work she did with her script; She manages to take a weird but intriguing galaxy epic then turns it up a notch with some lighthearted aspects thrown in for good measure to where it doesn’t make the readers feel like this is a rip-off of a Nickelodeon series that never got picked up but the artwork, provided by Michael Avon Oeming is absolutely AMAZING!! Every page is crafted to bring out the brilliance of Visggio’s writing. Still, Oeming finds a way to bring his familiar flair to this series, making this a visual experience that no one will ever forget.

This is a series that Sci-Fi fans will be entertained by as this opening issue can be read repeatedly while setting up the excitement of what will come next.

Well, that’s it for me this week. Thanks for sticking around and I will see you all next time.
