Yuki vs. Panda comes to Source Point Press

Underground Candian cult hit ‘Yuki vs. Panda’ is getting a second wind with Source Point Press. Written by Graham Misuriak with art by A. L. Jones, ‘Yuki vs. Panda’ chronicles the neverending battle between a college student and her anthropomorphic rival. It releases Wednesday, May 26 and is available for pre-order now!

“Judging by the immense amount of talent and unique stories coming from Source Point Press, Yuki vs. Panda is in great company!,” says Misuriak.

Ten years after a freak incident at the zoo, Yuki finds herself attending a prestigious college on the road to success, unaware that a panda bear from that fateful day has been hunting her down to exact bloody revenge. Nothing can prepare you for this outrageous comedy filled with epic fights, awkward romance, supernatural powers, and plenty of zigs and zags. Put up your pigtails! Sharpen your claws!

“The idea for Yuki vs. Panda came about from my love of video games, martial arts, foreign cinema and absurdist humor. It started simply as an East-meets-West mix between ‘Tom & Jerry’, ‘Tekken’ and ‘Saved by the Bell’ and exploded from there,” says Misuriak.

Yuki vs. Panda is currently being adapted into an animated series by indie production company Synapz Productions, directed by Andrew Palmer. The trailer is available now on Youtube.

“Yuki vs. Panda is a perfect fit for a cartoon since it’s a medium that allows an almost seamless transition from the comic book universe and can showcase all the high-impact supernatural action and comedy without creative or production limitations,” says Misuriak.

Yuki vs. Panda releases Wednesday, May 26. Source Point Press is a division of Ox Eye Media, publishing books, comics, and graphic novels.
