Comic Book Cats, number 141: Ruff and Reddy #4, drawn by Harvey Eisenberg, published by Dell Comics in January 1960.
Ruff and Reddy was one of those rare cartoons about a cat and a dog where the two were actually best friends rather than enemies. Produced by Hanna-Barbera, it ran for three seasons between 1957 and 1960.
As with a lot of other Hanna-Barbera series Ruff and Reddy had a comic book series from Dell. It lasted 12 issues: three issues of the anthology title Four Color, and then Ruff and Reddy #4-12. As with the majority of Dell comic books, there were no credits in Ruff and Reddy. The GCD credits Harvey Eisenberg as the artist on this one-pager and several other stories in issue #4.
Eisenberg worked for Hanna-Barbera on the Tom and Jerry cartoons. Beginning in 1945 he worked on numerous funny animal comic books for Dell. Eisenberg passed away in April 1965 at the age of 54.
