Femforce 200 Special Edition. Bill Black has published a commemorative SPECIAL EDITION of FEMFORCE 200 through Paragon Publications. This is a big 56-page book that contains the 40 pages of FEMFORCE 199 and 200 plus additional pages and panels and a restructuring of the story. It also contains an editorial and images of significant covers & art pertaining to the history of Femforce. Physically the book will differ from the AC Comics editions. It has a new cover (the original wraparound cover of FF 200 is the centerfold of this book with new coloring), the cover is printed on much heavier stock (80 lb) as are the interior pages (60 lb) and slim white gutters added at the spine so that opposing pages do not bleed into one another causing confusion in the storytelling. This book will not be distributed through Diamond and therefore will never appear in any comic shop. It is for private sale only limited to 100 copies. All the word balloons have been repositioned so as to not crowd the art creating a more pleasing design—AC Comics prints to order so that only a handful of copies are available after the fact. If you missed the initial printing or bought FF 200 but not FF 199, the complete story is available here. Another reason to publish a Special Edition is that the story was too big to fit into 40 pages. Important material needed to flesh out the story was left out. And the pagination resulted in poor storytelling. Example: when Dream Shroud menaces Femforce to put them to sleep we see that he turns the table on Crimson and knocks out the bad guys instead. By adding new panels in this Paragon version, the FF is menaced but you must turn the page to get the reveal. In the Tunnel Of 200 Terrors scenes the Ms. Victory, Nightveil and Tara sequences have additional pages added. Post climax Rad gets a page considered especially significant. FEMFORCE has reached its milestone 200th issue which is a very big deal. So this Paragon edition has an extensive editorial that covers the entire history of Femforce from the first printed image of SYNN (first Femforce character to be published) to the present day. Notable FF creators comment as well with Eric Coile and Brad Gorby adding to the editorial. Also included are images of significant issues such as FEMZINE No. 1 cover and splash (now in COLOR!), FF SPECIAL No. 1, FF ORIGINS, FF No. 1 cover plus unused alternate first ish cover… all reproduced from the original art. Writer/inker Bill Black has signed and numbered all 100 copies. This book will be $25 plus $6 postage paid to Paypal at MaestroBlack500@aol.com. When ordering be sure to stipulate FEMFORCE 200 SPECIAL EDITION and include your mailing address. so that a mailing label can be generated directly out of Paypal.
